Queen's Bench, the Portland chapter of Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS), is an independent non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the professional advancement, camaraderie, and good fellowship among women in the legal profession and the community.
Queen's Bench was founded in 1948 by approximately 25 women lawyers who wrote a constitution, collected dues, and met monthly. Since 1972, Queen's Bench has met on the second Tuesday of every month. Although Queen's Bench is now a chapter of OWLS, Queen's Bench predates the formation of OWLS.
