Queen’s Bench, the Multnomah County Chapter of Oregon Women Lawyers, is recruiting Law Student Liaisons to join our board of directors on January 1, 2022.
Liaisons serve alongside our fourteen Directors and Officers on the Queen’s Bench Board of Directors. Liaisons are asked to remain on the board during the 2022 calendar year but Liaisons are encouraged to remain on the board throughout law school. The Queen’s Bench board of directors has even elected law student liaisons to join the board as a Director during their first year of practice.
A Liaison’s responsibilities include attending monthly Queen’s Bench board meetings held the third Tuesday of every month at noon, serving on board committees, and engaging law students in Queen’s Bench events. Liaisons are also encouraged, but not required, to attend monthly lunchtime CLEs held the second Tuesday of every month. Due to the pandemic, all events currently are held via Zoom. All law students, including 1Ls, are encouraged to apply.
If you are interested in joining the Queen’s Bench board of directors as a Law Student Liaison, please send a brief letter of interest that includes the reason(s) why you’re interested in joining the board and a copy of your resume to [email protected] no later than December 5, 2021. We understand that this deadline falls within the midst of final exams. If you would like to apply and cannot meet this deadline, please email [email protected] to make other arrangements.
